Spiders Vs. Centipedes
Today I am going to be discussing two of my favorite bugs, and I will decide which of the two I like better. Feel free to state your opinions in the comments! :-)
First off, Spiders.
Spiders are arachnids. They are in the same family as ticks and crabs. But unlike ticks and crabs they have hair. And this, I believe, is what makes me love them so much. As you know, I love anything with hair.
Here are a few pictures of some especially hairy spiders:
The second things I love about spiders is their eyes...ALL EIGHT of them!! Spiders eyes interest me because of the fact that they can change color. Did you know that when spiders get ready to feed their eyes turn green? See...
The way spiders feed has also fascinated me...I compare the way they feed with the way I like my food. Fresh, juicy, and wrapped up like a burrito!
Now on to Centipedes!
I love centipedes because of the way they look when they crawl across my bedroom floor. The way their legs flow like waves in two little rows, almost like an army marching out to war.
Centipedes don't have working eyes. They just sense things with the tips of their long legs. So I think spiders are cooler in that area.
However, centipedes can get the better of Spiders...here's a picture to prove it:
Centipedes lay exactly 284 eggs, but they eat over half of them before they hatch. Yet they still always leave the exact same number of males and females. Pretty awesome!
The centipede's way of eating is not nearly as interesting as a spider's way of eating...yet I hear that if you have a choice between eating a spider or a centipede you should go with our many legged friend. Why? Because inside centipedes there lives a small parasite, and if you are lucky it will pass from the centipede to you. The parasite brings many health benefits, such as weight loss, and glossy thick hair. But you have to be sure to eat the whole centipede, for there is only one parasite, and you want to be sure to get it in you!
Just be careful, eating centipedes could have undesirable side effects, such as,
Vomiting. Fainting. diarrhea. Shortness of breath. Regret. Suicidal thoughts. Death.
Have you made your decision? Which do you like better? Spiders or centipedes?
I have chosen. I like spiders best. It was a close race, but what clinched it for me was thinking about my favorite spider. Shelob.
That is the only scene worth watching in the LotR series. And only because you can never go wrong watching spiders.
I hope you all enjoyed the pictures and fun facts!
Until next time!

Toast Crumbs on the Counter
Little crumbs I hate thee now.
Little crumbs how camest thou here?
From my toast thou fallest like dust
And with thy fall I shed a tear.
I failest not to clean thee up
Thou foul beast from toaster lair,
But my best friend leavest thou
And that, I say, is not fair!
Thou crumb! Thou thorn in my side!
Thou hast driven me insane!
Crumbling crunch on counter top,
Thou hast so long been my bane!

A Revelation About LotR.
I just realized that Lord of the Rings is a waste of time. It has no point, no meaning, and no worth. I've got better things to do with my energy. Like watching North and South. Now there's a movie with real value! It doesn't have characters which make you shudder. No fancy prancing blond elves for me! You know, this discovery could very well be life-changing. I do believe I will be much better off now that I'm getting rid of every LotR themed item I have in my house. It might take me awhile to detox, but I'm ready to change my life, and turn it around. Does anyone else want to join me in this LotR rehab program? I need encouragement to press on with my convictions! Forward! No more shall I look at my BFF with that smug little smirk when anything even slightly resembles a LotR quote...no more! And I shall soon press upon her my own convictions.
I am quite disgusted with myself. Thinking that at one time I tolerated the flowing locks of blond hair, and the appalling acrobatics of that elven showoff! To think that at one time my heart was touched with the story of Sam and Frodo. Really? Hobbits? Gandalf must have been most wicked to send poor little hobbits off alone to their deaths! And Arwen! Some have told me before that she look retarded...At the time I denied it, but now... She is not only retarded, but she was insane! I mean, who in their right mind would give up immortality for love? Think of the message we're giving the young people of this age! No!
I will no longer see any good in even Samwise Gamgee. Surely he must have done everything out of selfish motives! And hidden selfishness is more dangerous than obvious selfishness. I mean, what would come of this world if everyone loved LotR and tried to be more like Sam! It would be disastrous! I would venture to go farther than that...what if people came away from LotR with the message that there is hope no matter how far gone others may think you are. No. I am sure LotR has destroyed my way of thinking. It has polluted my mind, and caused me to embrace heretical ideas. So I am going to erase all memories of Rings and Hobbits from my mind, no matter how much joy they used to give me. I am resolved.
